Upending Advent in an Age of Empire: Hope

How do we have hope at the end of empire?

I want to start thinking or rethinking hope from our current context. There is deep polarization in our country and world. There are several wars and pending wars already in place, and the economic situation is dangerous for all of us. How do we have hope in an age of empire?
