Merry Christmas! With the busy day yesterday, I didn’t get my sermon sent over. So, that is in today’s email + the First Day of Christmas for paying subscribers!

I read today that Bethlehem, the traditional birthplace of Christ experienced air raids. I wonder if the places where I visited are still standing? May we hope against all hope for the people of Israel and Palestine, so that shalom might emerge. The Gospel message is peace and what’s transpiring is death bringing logic to all who are funding the way and complicit in the war.

I don’t want to inundate you with emails, so since we are doing the 12 days of Christmas, today we will skip Monday’s regularly scheduled Contemplative Threads. I’ll be back Wednesday for the mid-week roundup and the 12 Days of Christmas.

Onward, —Dr. Roberto Che Espinoza.

“By transcending our biases, listening, and having inner silence about our convictions, our inherited traditions, or our favorite ideas, we can become open to the patterns of work, knowledge and experience we may not have seen in the other or buried in ourselves.”
