I’ve been waking up before 7am these past few days, and enjoying the bright sun and cool breeze that coats our room. It’s like a layer of grace and a sacrament of interruption.

I wanted to share with you a picture that my long-time seminary friend, Debbie Blades, took this morning while I was out back drinking my coffee.

I am committing to movement and writing habits while I’m on sabbatical. My bodymind needs both of these elements to help me feel well and balanced. All is right with the world when I am able to move and think and feel! So, expect some thinking aloud here on Substack while I’m on sabbatical.

Rest IS political, and it is ALSO a practice of sustainable resilience. Let US be the healing of the wounds!
