The 8th Day of Christmas: renew
Each Monday, I send Contemplative THREADS out to the community, but since New Year’s Day falls on a Monday this year, I thought I’d send out a blessing of sorts. Beneath the blessing is the 8th day of Christmas for those who are paying subscribers. Enjoy!

May the uncertainty of the future be quiet in our minds as we rise on this new day.
May the chaos and violence of our world be quenched with the gospel of peace.
May love eternal help us each as we stumble with grace to plant seeds for another possible world.
May our impatience with ourselves and each other not imperil us, so that we can continue to do good, love truth, and create beauty.
May we love our neighbors as best we can and pray for our enemies, so that there will be war no more on our land.
May the new year bring forth the grace we need and fill us with the capacity to do the work we are each called to do.
