What do we mean by ethics today?

I have been thinking about how we define ethics. I once heard a Rabbi say that ethics is ‘seeing more clearly.’ How do we see clearly when our mindsets have been conditioned by the West and by imperialism? I’ll be exploring these thoughts in the coming weeks, and want to start here in some invitations for contemplation about ethics.
